Spring Valley Brewing (Yokohama) Overview Spring Valley Brewery is the original brewery of Kirin. Founded in 1869 by William Copeland, the brewery was purchased by a group of Japanese investors and eventually Spring Valley became Kirin. In 2014 the Spring Valley Brewing brand was relaunched and they currently have 3 locations. The Yokohama branch is a very spacious taproom within the Kirin Brewery where you can also go on a tour of the Kirin facilities. While the location is pretty quiet on weekdays, on weekends they sometimes have events and special beers only available at the Yokohama facility.
