Overview
Beer Engine is a cozy pub in Koenji that focuses on Japanese craft beers. The master of Beer Engine has a love for hand pumped ales, so it is no surprise to see most of their line-up entail hand pumped ales, especially Minoh Beer’s W-IPA. Finding hand pumped beers in Japan can be a tall ask but the master imported all of his hand pumps at great expense to fill a missing gap in Japan. There are still a few traditional CO2 taps and light food as well. If you are looking for good eats, be on the lookout for Beer Engine’s curry nights that are a hit with his regular patrons.
